第二届电子与信息工程国际会议

Tianjin, China. September 9-11, 2011

Keynote Speaker I

Prof. Shuxiang Guo Biomechatronics Lab., Faculty of Engineering Kagawa University, Japan

Shuxiang Guo (S’93-M’95-SM’03 for IEEE) is a professor of the Intelligent Mechanical System Engineering Department, at Kagawa University, Japan. His Ph.D. was obtained at the Nagoya University, Japan (1981). His current research interests include micro robotics and mechatronics, micro robotics system for minimal invasive surgery, micro catheter system, micro pump, and smart material (SMA, ICPF) based on actuators. He has published about 280 refereed journal and conference papers.

Dr. Guo received research awards from the Tokai Section of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME), the Tokai Science and Technology Foundation, and the Best Paper Award of the IS International Conference, Best Paper Award of the 2003 International Conference on Control Science and Technology and Best Conference Paper Award of IEEE ROBIO 2004, IEEE ICAL 2008 and IEEE ICIA 2011, in 1997, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2008 and 2011, respectively. These papers are widely referred and further developed by many researchers. Especially, micro active catheter systems and micropump for minimal invasive surgery proposed by him have received much attention recently. Many factories in Japan show their interest to this new technique. He is the founding chair for IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation. And he is the editor in chief for International Journal of Mechatronics and Automation.

Keynote Speaker II

Prof. Jeng-Shyang Pan Department of Electronic Engineering, National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences, Taiwan
